Two London Bridge

Overview

ESL recently completed the mechanical installation for one floor at Two London Bridge. Our team was responsible for the comprehensive design and coordination of mechanical services. Collaborating closely with our client throughout each stage of the project, we ensured that the design evolved to meet their needs.

Outcome

New Diffusion 4 Pipe Fan Coil Units:

We supplied and installed 30 new Diffusion 4 pipe fan coil units, each equipped with new control valves and actuators to ensure precise temperature regulation and performance.

Adaptation and Insulation of Pipework:

The existing CHW (Chilled Water) and LTHW (Low Temperature Hot Water) pipework infrastructure was adapted to fit the new layout. All pipework was thermally insulated to maintain its vapour barrier, ensuring energy efficiency and system integrity.

Ductwork and Fire Dampers Installation:

New ductwork was installed on both primary and secondary paths, adhering to the new layout and thermally insulated throughout. New fire dampers were installed through ceiling void fire barriers to comply with industry requirements, enhancing safety and compliance.

Waterloo Air Swirl Diffusers:

All new Waterloo air swirl diffusers were installed to ensure optimal air distribution throughout the office space, providing both functionality and a sleek, adaptable look.

Trend BMS System Integration:

The existing Trend BMS (Building Management System) controllers were retained and reinstalled with the new fan coil units. The existing cabling infrastructure was adapted to suit the new layout, and new Trend space temperature sensors were fitted to enable efficient system operation.

System Testing and Commissioning:

After installation, the system was pressure tested, flushed and underwent water treatment with laboratory sampling analysis conducted at set BSRIA intervals. The commissioning process involved balancing and regulating all systems to the correct figures, with all stages witnessed and verified by the client’s representative. Detailed documentation was provided with our operating manuals.
