MOPAC Project
Equipment Replacement & Fit Out
Overview:
The project involved the replacement of the complete chilled water plant across 90 individual plant areas and the main building plant room. This included the installation of new Airedale turbocool chillers, multiple pumps and plate heat exchangers. Notably, the challenge was to maintain a fully operational chilled water circuit 24/7 during the replacement process. Additionally, extensive public health refurbishment works were carried out, including the WC blocks and disabled access shower rooms.
Outcome
The successful completion of the chilled water plant replacement and refurbishment project underscores our commitment to excellence and efficiency. Despite the challenge of maintaining a fully operational chilled water circuit throughout the process, our team developed a consistent schedule of works and programming in collaboration with the client to ensure minimal disruption and on-time completion.
Highlights of the project include the installation of new Airedale turbocool chillers and the refurbishment of WC blocks and disabled access shower rooms. Additionally, the installation of new Zip instant boil water units and standalone chilled water Billi taps, along with the replacement of the Building Management System [BMS] to a trend open protocol system, further enhances the functionality and efficiency of the site. Regular progress reports provided to the client ensured transparency and facilitated smooth project execution alongside the construction program.
