Overview

ESL successfully completed the mechanical design and installation for Level 7 at 61 Aldwych, London. Our team was responsible for the comprehensive design and coordination of mechanical services on this floor. Collaborating closely with our client at each project stage, we ensured that all services and equipment remained visible, aligning with the project’s aesthetic goals.

Outcome

New Ability 4 Pipe Fan Coil Units:

We supplied and installed New Ability 4 pipe fan coil units, each equipped with new control valves and actuators to ensure regulated temperature performance, enhancing the overall climate control efficiency.

Adaptation and Insulation of Pipework:

The existing CHW (Chilled Water) and LTHW (Low-Temperature Hot Water) pipework infrastructure was adapted to suit the new layout. All pipework was thermally insulated to maintain its vapour barrier, ensuring energy efficiency and system integrity.

Ductwork Installation:

New ductwork was installed on both primary and secondary paths, adhering to the new layout. The ductwork was thermally insulated throughout, with the secondary ductwork internally cladded to conceal the insulation and provide a more aesthetically pleasing appearance.

Waterloo Air Swirl Diffusers:

All new Waterloo air swirl diffusers were installed to ensure optimal air distribution throughout the office space, offering both functionality and a sleek look.
